How the 2026 pilot works?
  • Start building your ROC in CCMS: May 2026
  • What you can view in May 2026:
    • Out-of-class activities completed before academic year 2025-26
  • Input encouraged:
    • Add other out-of-class activities and any missing university activities
  • University uploads:
    • University units will upload 2025-26 records to CCMS
    • You can view uploaded records 2-3 working days after upload
  • Discrepancies:
    • If something doesn't match your understanding, contact the respective event organizer

Key Timelines
  • CCMS input closes: 4 Sep 2026
    • Finalizing 2025-26 out-of-class activities by the University
    • Records remain viewable, but additional input is disabled
  • Next-year input timelines:
    • Will be published on this webpage after the pilot review
    • Expected input to reopen around November
Final ROC format for graduates
  • Final ROC for 2025-26 graduates will be provided as two protected PDFs:
    1. University-arranged out-of-class activities
    2. Your self-reported activities, such as:
    • internships (including startups / entrepreneurship)
    • student-led roles (e.g., ExCo, sports team members)
    • professional licenses and qualifications
  • Available for 2025-26 graduates: November 2026
    • Download only available starting November

What qualifies as "University-arranged" ROC entries?
  • Activity Criteria
    • Organized / co-organized by an HKUST department / unit
    • Not a formal credit-bearing university course
    • A record of your involvement is kept for the activity
  • Signature
    • Displayed with the Dean of Students' signature
  • Other entries
    • Remaining items are shown in the Record of Out-of-class Activities reported by Students
