The Record of Out-of-Class Experience (ROC, pronounced “rock”) documents student’s all-rounded experience during their study at HKUST. We encourage you to build your ROC and leverage on it to solidify, reflect and internalize learning experiences. It is a starting point to clarify on what interests and motivates you. It is also a useful tool to initiate discussion with your academic, career or personal growth advisors.

ROC is a cryptographically signed, tamper-proof, and shareable official record using blockcerts. You will have access to your official ROC along with other official electronic records, such academic transcript, at graduation. You will be able to access your record throughout your study via the Co-curricular Management System (CCMS). ROC records both HKUST arranged out-of-class activities and student’s self-reported activities during their studies.
