Mrs Choi Ma Oi Kuen Students' Holistic Development Scheme aims to encourage students to participate in co-curricular programs to learn outside the classroom and contribute to the community. It provides financial support to ensure that students who seek personal growth, community engagement, and experiential learning opportunities can participate fully in the programs and are not disadvantaged by financial reasons.
The Scheme provides a subsidy of HK$420 - $6,000 to motivated students to participate in co-curricular programs endorsed by the Dean of Students' Office, as follows:
- Community Builders Program (Lumina track)
- Community Builders Program (Ripples track)
- Connect Ambassador for Community Engagement (Connect ACE)
- HKUST SOAR Explorer Trail Running Community
- Reel Good
- STITCH
- This is ME - The art of being you
Applications are open to all students participating in or intending to join the above endorsed programs, with priority given to Tertiary Student Finance Scheme (TSFS) grant and loan recipients. Successful applicants will receive the subsidy^ upon satisfactory completion# of the program(s).
Application period:
Round 1: 17 Aug – 30 Sep 2026
Round 2: 23 Nov 2026 – 31 Jan 2027
Round 3: 1 Apr – 15 May 2027
Application method:
- Complete the online application form in the same academic year as your participation in the endorsed program.
- Please ensure you submit a separate application for the endorsed program you intend to join.
Notes:
^ The final subsidy will be determined based on actual attendance on a pro-rata basis.
# Satisfactory completion of the program includes attendance, a high level of engagement in the program, and submission of a reflection report (if any).
