Just as we train our body for physical health, we can also train our mind for mental health. Mindfulness is rooted in ancient wisdom, whereas cognitive-behavioral theory is based on modern psychological science – when combined they form the Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) program, which has been shown to reduce stress and improve well-being. This workshop offers a taste of some key MBCT themes through guided practices, experiential learning, and group discussion. Together we will learn to understand our attention, explore new ways of being, as well as respond skillfully to everyday life.
