Need a refreshing break from your studies? Embrace the spring weather and join a relaxing hike along Razor Hill hosted by HKUST SOAR Guide!

We’ll make our way to a scenic viewpoint overlooking HKUST, where you can slow down, take photos, and soak up the wide-open views of campus and the surrounding coastline. After the climb, we’ll enjoy a chill-outdoor lunch break. Sit back, chat, and recharge with good company and a great view before heading back.

Beginners are absolutely welcome! The route starts with a gentle incline to the viewpoint, then is mostly downhill at an easy pace. Through this event, we hope to introduce you to the hidden natural gems near our campus and promote hiking as a healthy way to relieve stress and reconnect with nature.

We will gather at Pik Uk Bus Stop and embark on a scenic hike. The details are as follows:

Date: 7 Mar 2026 (Sat)

Time: 10am – 12:30pm

Route: Pik Uk Bus Stop -> Razor Hill -> Dismissal at HKUST Shaw Auditorium (around 3km)

Remarks:

• Successful registrations will receive confirmation via email. More details will be sent to you via email upon successful sign-up.
• This event is subsidized by the Dean of Students’ Office (DSTO). After accepting the offer, if you cannot attend the event in full with legitimate reasons supported by proof (illness or an exam conflict), DSTO reserves the right to charge you HK$50 program fee.
• This is a HMAW1905-recognized event in the “Personal Enrichment & Community Service” category under the "Self-Directed Experience" of HMAW1905: Behavioral Foundations of University Education: Habits, Mindsets, and Wellness. To receive 2 hours, you must attend the event in full and miss no more than 10 mins.
