Come meet a new way to rest: Simply Being (靜系). 

 

One thing at a time. Less noise. More room to breathe. 

 

Join our workshop to slow down with a hand-drip coffee brew – and watch coffee take shape, one drop at a time. Aroma rises, the cup fills, and the drip becomes a quiet anchor, bringing you back to the present – where coffee meets Zen. 

 

In this workshop, you will: 

  • Trace coffee’s journey from bean to cup – and reflect on the interconnectedness of people, everyday life, and nature 
  • Learn the essentials of hand-drip coffee (step-by-step) 
  • Slow down and relax your body and mind 
  • Take away mindful drinking and everyday wellbeing tips for daily life — anytime, anywhere 

 

Date: 13 Apr (Tue) 

Time: 3:00pm-5:00pm 

Tutor: Lester, Pause and Breathe Mindfulness Facilitator & Owner of Yu Dei 「余地」(a vegetarian restaurant) 

Language: Cantonese, with English interpretation

Remarks: 

  • Applicants will receive an email and are required to reply to confirm the spot. 
  • This is a HMAW1905-recognized event in the “Personal Enrichment & Community Service” category under the "Self-directed Experience" of HMAW1905: Behavioral Foundations of University Education: Habits, Mindsets, and Wellness. To receive 2 hours, you must attend the event in full and miss no more than 10 mins. 
  • The event is fully subsidized by the Dean of Students’ Office (DSTO). After accepting the offer, if you cannot attend the event in full with legitimate reasons supported by proof (illness or an exam conflict), DSTO reserves the right to charge you HK$250 program fee.
