To join us as a pioneering team, you will commit to engage in (see Program Schedule for dates):
- 4 practical skill-development workshops (HMAW1905-recognized)
- 1 walking tour for you to experience as a tour participant
- 2 trial walks to iterate your group’s tour design, either in the neighborhood of HKUST’s Clearwater Bay (CWB) or Guangzhou (GZ) campus, depending on which group you choose
- Lead at least 1 walking tour as a Guide
Everything is FREE for you if you participate in full. As a pioneering team member, you also have priority access to a FREE 3-day-2-night tour to Guangzhou (tentative 29-31 Mar 2024) even if you are not in the GZ group!
The program costs more than HK$8,000 per student, and is fully subsidized by the Dean of Students’ Office (DSTO). The program is fully subsidized by the Dean of Students’ Office (DSTO). If you cannot complete the program in full due to legitimate reasons supported by proof (illness or an exam conflict), DSTO reserves the right to charge you HK$1500.
A Certificate will be issued to recognize your contribution to HKUSTours upon the full completion of the program.
