Mrs Choi Ma Oi Kuen Students' Holistic Development Scheme is designed to encourage students to participate in endorsed co-curricular programs to learn outside classroom and contribute to the community. It provides a source of financial support to ensure that students who seek personal growth, community engagement, and experiential learning opportunities can participate fully in the programs and are not disadvantaged by financial reasons. 

The Scheme provides a subsidy of HK$450 - $2,900 to motivated students to participate in co-curricular programs endorsed by the Dean of Students' Office, as follows:

  1. Changemaker Pathway
  2. Community Builder Program
  3. HKUST Sail and Shine
  4. HKUSTours (Student-Edition)
  5. Impact + Community
  6. Ripples Fellowship Program
  7. Self-Leadership Program

Application for the Scheme is open to all students participating in or intending to join the above-endorsed programs with priority given to recipients of the Tertiary Student Finance Scheme (TSFS) grant and loan. Successful applicants will receive the subsidy upon satisfactory completion# of the program(s).

Application period:
Round 1: 1 Sep – 10 Nov 2023
Round 2: 1 Dec 2023 – 16 Feb 2024
Round 3: 1 Apr – 14 May 2024
Note: Participants must submit an application within the same academic year that they participated in the endorsed programs.

Application method: Complete the online application form before the application deadline of respective programs.

Application deadline: Refer to the respective programs that you intend to join / you have joined.

Note:
# Satisfactory completion of the program includes attendance, high level of engagement in the program, and submission of reflection report (if any).
