| Mrs Choi Ma Oi Kuen Students' Holistic Development Scheme is designed to encourage students to participate in endorsed co-curricular programs to learn outside classroom and contribute to the community. It provides a source of financial support to ensure that students who seek personal growth, community engagement, and experiential learning opportunities can participate fully in the programs and are not disadvantaged by financial reasons.
The Scheme provides a subsidy of HK$300 - $7,830 to motivated students to participate in co-curricular programs endorsed by the Dean of Students' Office, as follows:
- Choose Your Own Adventure: A Starter's Guide to Flourishing
- Community Builders Program (Catalyst track)
- Community Builders Program (Ripples track)
- Connect Ambassador for Community Engagement (Connect ACE)
- HKUST SOAR Explorer Trail Running Community
- HKUST SOAR Guide
- This is ME - The Art of Being You
- Reel Good
- Sew-cial Club
Applications for the Scheme are open to all students participating in or intending to join the above endorsed programs, with priority given to recipients of the Tertiary Student Finance Scheme (TSFS) grant and loan. Successful applicants will receive the subsidy^ upon satisfactory completion# of the program(s).
Application period:
Round 1: 25 Aug – 30 Sep 2025
Round 2: 24 Nov 2025 – 27 Feb 2026
Round 3: 27 Apr – 15 May 2026
Application method: Complete the online application form in the same academic year as your participation in the endorsed program.
Applications are reminded to make a separate application for the endorsed program they intend to join.
Notes:
^ The final subsidy will be determined based on actual attendance on a pro-rata basis.
# Satisfactory completion of the program includes attendance, a high level of engagement in the program, and submission of a reflection report (if any).
