Eligible students should apply for the Scheme via Mobile App or through the MTR website at MTR > MTR Student Travel Scheme. You are not required to get the school endorsement for online application. You will not get endorsement if you use a hard copy form. 

Complete the form correctly with the information of HKUST below:

Then fill out the faculty / courses that you are studying at HKUST. 

Download the MTR Mobile App in your mobile phone. Otherwise, apply for the Scheme through the MTR website at MTR > MTR Student Travel Scheme.

Call the MTR Hotline at 2881 8888 from Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 6:30pm; and Saturday 8:30am – 1:00pm. 

It is not required to obtain the eCertificate for MTR Student Travel Scheme unless you do not have any other alternative to verify your HKUST Student status. The eCertificate is valid for other student traveling schemes such as the Sun Ferry Student Monthly Ticket.

There is no rush for you to apply for the Scheme as application is open all year round. You may apply for the Scheme when you arrive in Hong Kong.
