Yoga for Beginners
Physical Fitness Demand: Moderate

Yoga is a science and an art of healthy living. It has much to offer for the mind, spirit and body. The whole system of Yoga is built on three main components: breathing, exercise and meditation. Breathing techniques are based on the concept that breath is the source of life. By enabling oneself to gently increase breath control can further improve the health and function of both body and mind. The two systems of exercise and breathing combine to prepare the body and mind for meditation which allows oneself to uncover an easier approach to a quiet mind that facilitates healing from daily stress.

This class is designed for students of all levels of fitness to experience the joy and harmony of Yoga. The class activities include yoga poses and postures, breathing techniques, relaxation and meditation. Participants will gently perform breathing practices, a series of postures, deep relaxation and meditation.

Yoga mats will be provided. Participants should wear loose sportswear, non-marking sports shoes.
