Epee Fencing for Beginners

Fencing is transformed to a modern sports participated by people of a broad age range from the days when swords were used in serious combat. It is described as a game of physical chess and is suitable for both genders.
 
Epee is one of the three types of weapons in fencing.  It is similar to a foil but is heavier and has a large bell guard. The Epee Fencing class is designed to enable beginners to learn the correct grips, footwork and basic blade works of epee fencing. Safety measures, fencing etiquette, application of basic skills and simple tactics of epee fencing in competitive bouts will also be covered.
 
Participants should wear sportswear (sport trousers) and non-marking sports shoes.
