Table-tennis for Improvers

Physical Fitness Demand: Moderate

Table-tennis is an easy game that requires good eye-hand coordination, reaction and skill. The basic strokes are easy to learn but making progression without frequent practice can be challenging. Once you can master the technique, the magic of the bats would surely bring you great fun.

The improver class is designed to help students with experience in table-tennis to improve their footwork, strokes, tactics and understanding of the game’s rules. The use of spin and tactical plays will be introduced. Opportunities for learning tactics, scoring, rules and regulations will be provided through playing games and competitions. Participants are expected to demonstrate ability in forehand and backhand drive, service and return of service. Suitability to stay in the class will be assessed in the first session.

Rackets and table-tennis balls will be provided.

Participants should wear sportswear and non-marking sports shoes.
